      <title>Cannot e-file, Asking me to Update</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I just completed my Federal and State returns. I chose the e-file option for both and then filled out all the requested information and paid for the state e-file option. I then went to transmit my returns but I got a pop up window that states "There is an update to your version of TurboTax. Before you can file electronically, you'll need to get this update." I did receive an automatic update before I opened the program to finish my return. I also tried to download any new updates through the menu option but I am told that the program is already up to date. I even restarted my computer, but I keep getting the message whenever I try to e-file. Does anyone have any ideas?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

It took 2 hours on the phone with customer service. &amp;nbsp;We tried everything! &amp;nbsp;Turns out to be a problem with DELUXE version. &amp;nbsp;Customer service provided me at no cost the Premier version plus the state. &amp;nbsp;Once we uninstalled deluxe then installed Premier Turbo Tax I was able to efile federal and state. &amp;nbsp;Button line you have to get to a customer service person to get the Premier to replace the Deluxe. &amp;nbsp; The problem is with deluxe Software.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I had the same problem - TT would tell me it wouldn't e-file my Fed and NY State returns until I did an update, tried to do the update but TT effectively said all updates were already in, tried to re-transmit and TT again said I needed to do an update first - an endless loop.&amp;nbsp; I tried clearing cache but no diff.&amp;nbsp; I then pended the NY State (i.e.: e-file later) and then when I tried to re-transmit the Fed file alone it worked!&amp;nbsp; Still couldn't e-file the NY State return though.&amp;nbsp; Spent about 3 hours between speaking with TT support and awaiting callbacks.&amp;nbsp; Annette of level 2 support send me a link: "&lt;SPAN&gt;Turbo Tax Desktop windows: Update Loop At e-file.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/tax-topics/help/turbotax-desktop-windows-update-loop-at-e-file/00/1116299" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/tax-topics/help/turbotax-desktop-windows-update-loop-at-e-file/00/1116299&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp; " and from there I also clicked out to an embedded link to get instructions to run Disk Cleanup.&amp;nbsp; I ran the standard cleanup then ran the System File cleanup.&amp;nbsp; I then ran TT again and this time it auto-updated the NY State forms (took a while to update tho') but then I reran the e-file for the NY State return and it worked!&amp;nbsp; Looks like running Disk Cleanup and System File cleanup was the key.&amp;nbsp; I should mention also that while all of this was going on, I had my anti-virus turned off to minimize that possible barrier and I also turned wifi off for all devices except the wireless WIN10 laptop that I was using to run TT.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I Received a similar note regarding my California Tax return, saying that I couldn't file electronically because Schedule K-1 Worksheet-Partnership had not been approved.&amp;nbsp; Approval is expected by 2/13/20, when I will get an email and update permitting me to file CA "Non-Resident" tax electronically.&amp;nbsp; I could still file my Federal and VA returns electronically.&amp;nbsp; Not sure if you have similar issue.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
