To enter your CA Use Tax, please follow these steps:

Click on State from the menu on the left-hand side and then Continue
Click Continue next to California and then click Edit next to Credits and Taxes
Click Start or Revisit next to California Use Tax and then click Yes
In the section "About Your Untaxed Out-Of-State Purchases" click on "No, I may owe California a little sales tax"
Answer Yes or No to "Were any of your individual purchases for $1,000 or more?" and then click Continue
In the section "Choose How to Calculate Use Tax" select "Enter purchases separately" if you only have 1 or 2 purchases OR if you made a lot of purchases select "Estimate"
Click Continue and enter your purchase(s) and Your County and Tax Rate and click Continue

This did not work for the desktop premier version. Can you update the version for desktop.

What does "This did not work" mean? Was there an error message? Which screen in the list above that Barbara gave did you not see? Remember that we in the Community cannot see your tax return nor the screen you are on, so please help us help you by fully describing your experience.

I am a part year resident and the form does not include a field for use tax. I think that's the issue.
