Hi I just filed my taxes and realised I put head of household on my return. I am a single parent of two boys. Is this going to affect my return?

Actually you seem to qualify to file as head of household since you are single with 2 dependents. To be able to qualify head of household all the following must be true:

Under the IRS guidelines, in order to claim Head of Household, you need to meet all the following requirements:

You are unmarried or considered unmarried on the last day of the year.

You paid more than half the cost of keeping up a home for the year.

A qualifying person lived with you in the home for more than half the year (except for temporary absences, such as school). However, if the qualifying person is your dependent parent, he or she doesn't have to live with you.

Hey I filed & it has been accepted but when I go on to the irs app it says my information doesn’t match when I try to check my refund status

It takes the IRS a day or so after the return is accepted to show up in the Where's My Refund tool.
