      <description>&lt;P&gt;Well, the cat is going to be out of the bag soon now.&amp;nbsp; When they try to file and claim her, their e-file will be rejected because her SSN has already been filed on a tax return.&amp;nbsp; Get ready for a talk with the in-laws.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You could still amend and change to filing MFS if you really need to --- but amending takes about 4 months&amp;nbsp; And you cannot amend until your return has been fully processed.&amp;nbsp; So....good luck and Best Wishes.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;If you do decide to amend your return to change to MFS, you &lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;must&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt; file the amended return by April 15. You cannot amend from joint to separate returns after the due date of the return, which is April 15.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
