How do I tell TurboTax to accept the fact that I paid my state tax for 2017 already? I need to complete my 2018 taxes before going on to 2019 but can't fix this glitch.

To enter your State Estimated Tax Payments navigate to the Federal section of TurboTax and select Deductions & Credits.

From the Deductions & Credits screen navigate to "Estimates & Other Taxes Paid."

There you will see five categories. Click on the first one, "Estimated Tax Payments."

That screen also has five options. Select the second one, "State Estimated Taxes for 2017"

Select YES to the first question you are asked and it will take you to a screen where you can enter the State to which and date you paid estimated tax.

Sorry, none of these actually gets to my question. I've managed to dig out a phone number and I'll call TurboTax ASAP.
