Update Program Form 1040

Received e-mail notification that Form 1040 was available for download. Ran program update but form did not download and install. Running TurboTax Premier. Anyone know why this happened?

The 1040 is probably there as a part of your software..

BUT

it won't print out unless you've entered some taxable income. IF no income was entered, or of you only put in an SSA-1099 form, and nothing else as income, then there is no form 1040 in your printout, because one isn't needed and you don't have to file at all..

I have entered taxable income via W2. The program has not downloaded the 1040 and will not let me continue. I have received two e-mails from TurboTax telling me my forms are available for download. I have opened the program and no download. I "check for updates" and am told my program is up to date.

Not sure what the issue is for your setup......but if you have one of the personal desktop versions (Deluxe, Premier, H&B), try installing the "Manual Update "

Thank you for the response. I performed the manual update and I still do not have the 1040 form. The program tells me it should be "ready soon."

They may end up having you uninstall, and reinstall, or get you a brand new installation file that has everything in it already to date.

(You are talking about a 2019 software install ...aren't you? )

Contacted Support. Problem was within the program, it did not retrieve all the the forms with a download. They sent me a link to download the program again. Reinstalled the program and now everything works fine.
