      <description>&lt;P&gt;Does TurboTax refund when they charge you for a state e-file that can't be completed? I am getting error code&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;F540/NR/2EZ-320 but am able to confirm by logging into ftb.ca.gov that California has NOT already received a 2019 tax return from us. I know the SSN information in my tax return is accurate; it was transferred from the previous year, and I have checked it. If I have to paper file under these circumstances, why did I pay TurboTax $25 for the state e-file?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;If you paid the $24.99 state income tax return e-file fee by credit card when using the TurboTax desktop CD/Download editions and the state return cannot be e-filed, then you can contact TurboTax support for a refund.&lt;/P&gt;
