      <description>&lt;P&gt;Box d&amp;nbsp; represent "The Control Number". It is a code that the employer uses to uniquely identify&amp;nbsp;your unique&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;W-2&lt;/STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;document in your employer's records. The IRS does not require the employer to enter the control number so it might be blank on your W2.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
