No, you will not be able to e-file your MI state income tax return until the IRS and MI agencies begin accepting forms. Your tax returns will remain securely on the TurboTax server until then.

The Internal Revenue Service confirmed that the nation's tax season will start for individual tax return filers on Monday, January 27, 2020, when the tax agency will begin accepting and processing 2019 tax year returns.

Can my federal be accepted & approved while I wait for the MI forms to be ready to file??

Yes, you can file the Federal tax return and wait to file the state tax return.
