I bought TurboTax Deluxe. I entered my information and realized I should l have bought TurboTax Home and Business. What should I do? This is for tax year 2016.

All the Desktop programs have all the same forms. You just get more help in Home & Business. But you can still enter your income etc.

Do you need to enter self employment and 1099Misc income?

Go to Federal Taxes Tab

Wages and Income,

Then scroll way down to Business Items

Business Income and Expenses - Click the Start or Update button

You can upgrade your 2016 TurboTax Deluxe to TurboTax Home & Business from within the program. Open your tax return. In the bar at the bottom of the TurboTax screen click on Upgrade TurboTax. Or, on the Help menu select Upgrade TurboTax.
