Are there any differences between TurboTax CD and TurboTax Download?

I know that TurboTax Online is different from the CD/Download version, but are CD and Download the same thing? If I buy the Download and burn it to a disk, will it be identical to the CD version?

The CD software is the basic software before any updates have been released. The Download is the same software but incorporates the latest releases at the time of the download.

The CD and download are the same software. Why would you want to "buy the download and burn it to a disk?"
