How do I get turbotax to update the estimated tax I paid?

I entered the amount paid with my extension. The page indicates I owe "0" but when I go to file, the final numbers page indicates I still have to pay. How do I fix that?

Disregard the refund indicator on the TurboTax account for either a refund or taxes owed until you have entered all of your income and deduction and are in the File section of the program.

If you paid taxes with the extension request the payment will be shown on Form 1040 Line 17 and on Schedule 5 Line 71

Since you are using the Self-Employed edition you will probably owe self-employment taxes.

Look at your tax return, Form 1040, for the amount of taxes owed. Self-employment taxes are shown on Schedule 4 Line 57 with the totals from Schedule 4 flowing to Form 1040 Line 14

Total taxes owed are shown on Form 1040 Line 22

You can view your Form 1040 at any time. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.

To enter, change or delete a payment made with an extension request (Federal, State, Local) -

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Deductions and Credits
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
On Other Income Taxes, click on the start or update button

On the next screen select the type of extension payment made and click on the start or update button

Or enter federal extension payment in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on the Magnifying Glass. Click on Jump to federal extension payment
