Sorry for your loss. You cannot file a 2019 tax return yet. The software to file a 2019 tax return will not be released until late November 2019, and the IRS will not be accepting 2019 tax returns until late in January of 2020.

Or are you really asking about filing a 2018 tax return for her--that would be filed in 2019? Are you the executor of the estate?

Do my mother died and I need to close the probate - how do I file her final tax return if I haven't filed her taxes in ages. Is it a normal return when she has no income?

She may not need to file a tax return if her income is minimal. You can use this worksheet on the IRS website to see if she needs to file a return:

https://www.irs.gov/help/ita/do-i-need-to-file-a-tax-return

If she is not required to file a tax return, you do not need to do so to close out the estate.
