If you were not able to delete the Form 8582 using the "Delete a Form" tool, then another form or worksheet requires you to have it in your return.

Did you have "rental real estate losses", "trade or business activities in which you did not materially participate for the tax year," or any PALs carried forward from previous years? All would require Form 8582.

If you had any passive losses, whether limited or not, you need Form 8582.

If you are sure none of these situations apply, you may have to try Using Clear & Start Over in TurboTax Online
