I prepared Mt 2017 return via TurboTax but did not file it. Can I still file it via TurboTax?? If so , how??

To access your current or prior year tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

A 2017 tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed.

Print, sign, date and mail the tax return to the IRS. Include with the mailed return any forms W-2 and 1099 which have taxes withheld. Go to this IRS website for mailing addresses - https://www.irs.gov/filing/where-to-file-paper-tax-returns-with-or-without-a-payment

There are no penalties for filing a tax return after the due date if filing for a tax refund or there are no taxes owed.

Hi! I need to change my 2017 return (not yet filed). I purchased the 2017 Desktop software on line but cannot figure out how to get back into it to make changes. It says "Amend" and there are no tax years showing there for me to amend- obviously because I didn't file yet. Do you have any suggestions to access my tax file via this software? Maybe I purchased the wrong program...It says "Turbo Tax Amend"...sigh!

You need the TurboTax 2017 desktop software to complete the 2017 tax return.

You will need to contact TurboTax support since you purchased the Amend software and not the 2017 desktop edition software to complete the return. They should be able to push the 2017 software to your download account at no charge.

When you finish preparing your 2017 return, it has to be printed, signed and mailed. It cannot be e-filed.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS and/or your state received the return.
