I live abroad .

The program won't let me file as it is demanding a tax ID for my employer abroad which it obviously doesn't have . I have claimed the income as foreign earned but that didn't help .Please explain how to get past this & if not please give me a phone number to call to get an expert - it won't let me without a US phone number .

More than likely, and this is just a guess, you entered your foreign earned income in the W-2 section, which would be incorrect. Do you have anything in that section for W-2's? If so, delete it. After you delete it, you will have to work through the W-2 section again and select the option for "I don't have any W-2's" and then finish working through that section so the selection will "take".
