Please explain what you are trying to do. With whom are you trying to verify your identity? A tax return does not prove identity. Are you needing a copy of a past tax return for a lender, etc.? Or something else?

Or do you mean you need your 2017 Form 1040 to get your AGI so you can e-file for 2018?

Note: Every year, before mid-October, print a copy of your current year tax return and save it as a tax file and pdf, too. That way you will have it when you need it for school, a loan, next year’s tax return, etc. without going through a lot of aggravation (and expense) to get it.
