TurboTax does not support tax year 2014. You may be able to purchase the 2014 software from a reputable online retailer, such as Amazon. However, there is no guarantee that there will be any updates for the software available or state programs available for download.

Note - If you are considering filing a 2014 tax return for a tax refund, the time has expired for receiving a 2014 tax refund. The 2014 return with a tax refund had to be filed on or before April 15, 2018 or with a 2014 extension October 15, 2018.

Unfortunately, TurboTax no longer sells or supports the 2014 TurboTax software. Even if you could purchase the software from someone else, you may not be able to get the updates to the program since TurboTax no longer supports that year.

You can manually prepare an amended return & mail it in. Generally, for a credit or refund, you must file Form 1040X within 3 years after the date you timely filed your original return or within 2 years after the date you paid the tax, whichever is later.

If you need to amend a state return, you can check your state's website for their 2014 amended form.

Thanks, I will look. TY 2014 is still open and I need to amend it. I am trying to avoid re-entering everything, its a 400+ page return. I understand the caveats. Thanks, I will keep looking.

If you are able to obtain a copy of 2014 TurboTax for Windows and it does not automatically update, you can manually update: 2014 Manual Update (R45)

You likely will not be able to obtain any 2014 state modules for TurboTax. Without the corresponding state module(s) installed, it's likely that you will not be able to open your 2014 TurboTax tax file if your tax file includes a state tax return.

For an amendment that affects only a small number of forms, it would likely be far easier to amend manually using forms downloaded from the IRS.

Thanks so much to all. I found 2014 Home and business at softdiscountoutlet.com. It updated federal and state forms and it seems to be working. I will post here if it works for anyone with a similar issue. Thanks again.
