I entered 2018 2 days ago. I'm entering 2017 now with a different user name & password. It's saying 2018. How do I tell it it's 2017??

NO!!!!! You cannot use the online software to prepare a 2017 return! The online program is ONLY for a 2018 return.

Online preparation and e-filing for 2017 is permanently closed.

To file a return for a prior tax year

If you need to prepare a return for 2015, 2016, or 2017 you can purchase and download desktop software to do it, then print, sign, and mail the return(s)
