When will form 2210 be updated for 2018?

form 2210 still has 90% instead of the 2018 85% that was allowed for the changes to the tax system. IRS has said this will be allowed for 2018 because of all the confusion with the changes and W4 "lack of" guidance. When will Turbo Tax recognize this?

2/8 This form is insisting that I check "IRS to Figure Penalty". I want Turbox tax to do it. So I manually check the "Check to use part IV". The penalty is calculated but Turbo Tax still insists that the other box be checked.

Yep, revised due to my call. Also, the form has not been released as a final submittable version. It is also not the issue. The problem is that the Federal process does not ask if you want TurboTax to figure the estimated tax. Its defaults to no I presume and hence here we are. The state process works properly.

BTW...these form issues should be displayed each time TT...

I am not convinced its an issue with 2210. Yes, the final version of that form is due 2/15, but Turbo Tax is not asking how the user wants to calculate the late fee and this could be a software issue. Crossing fingers.

I want to report that my issue was resolved. I still do not see the option to choose whether TTax or the IRS calculates the penalty, but by default TTax is selected.

For any other problems, if you are still having a difficulty call Intuit. Dont post here expecting them to address the issue.

While I've been able to resolve my issue, this is what I'm seeing. In an instance where a penalty DOES NOT apply, Part II Box A is still checked (with a red check mark) and the form reports "Not Done". (This is in Forms mode). The only way I've been able to "uncheck" the box is to override it. Once I do this, I can "uncheck" the box. Then, this resolves the error and I can continue with processing the return.
