Maybe. In my experience, IRS usually completes the reviews around the 45 days. IRS may also contact you to provide information to them, so if they request information from you, I would provide it immediately.

IRS says, "If you haven’t received your refund or been contacted by us within 45 days from the date of this notice, you can call us at the number provided on your notice."

It sounds like your 45 days is March 29th since the IRS woman gave you that date. You may not receive a letter. Definitely call IRS on March 30th if you have not received your refund or any communication from IRS. hello, I was just wondering if you ever heard anything on your refund. I was told the exact same thing and I have not received a letter. Just when I spoke to them they told me that I was under a 45 day review. It seems that they are telling all of us the same thing. It is crazy this year.

I filed my taxes and it was accepted Feb. 12th. Called mid March and was told under review and i'd receive a letter dated April 1st. Why was the letter dated in advance? Why couldn't they send it out earlier if it was already generated? But my 60-day started from April 1st. I have called repeatedly and have gotten a little bit more information every time. Apparently they need to verify one of my W-2s. Why that takes so long? I don't know. They just said they don't need any additional information from me. I've called purposely before the 60 days and ask if there was any update just because. It really sucks this year. Each rep gave me a little different information oh, so I feel somewhat okay that I'm not completely in the dark. I will continue to call once or twice a week even though I'm told just to keep checking w m r.

I verify in march wmr updated last Saturday saying refund approved then friday it said refund was mailed 0n april 26th then yesterday i received a CP05 letter saying my my return was under review any body know if i will receive my refund?

hello, I filed my taxes 01/25 ,federal was accepted the same day. State was accepted 02/07. of 02/15 i noticed on wmr the bars had disappeared. I called the irs and they informed me that i was put on a 45 day hold and that they didn't need any info from me.I received my state refund 02/23.I checked the wmr website again that day and still said the refund is still processing bull crap. I called again on 02/26 to figure out if anything had changed and the operator was extremely rude and mentioned me calling a lot. I asked her if i needed to confirm anything she told me no. 03/09 i got a letter in the mail explaining to me about the further review but instead of 45 days it said 60 days from the late on the letter which was 03/06. I then found out about the tax advocates. I really needed one because I've been having car trouble and all of my daughter's benefits such as ktap, foodstamps, medicaid, etc was discontinued. I called them (tax advocate) on a Wednesday, they told me it would take 5 days to be assigned an advocate. I called that following Monday and was told i got assigned an advocate and they gave me her personal name and number. i called the advocate that Wednesday because id hadn't heard anything i left a message. she called me back the next day 03/22. She informed me to turn in proof of the discontinuance and to get it turned in that day before 4:30(time they closed). She also was so kind to inform me that she would get her supervisor to write a letter of recommendation to get my refund processed and issued ASAP. Friday while i was at work i got a call with my DDD of 03/28. I really recommend everyone to get an advocate. Hope everyone gets their issues resolved.

I am under review also since Feb.I have gotten 3 letters so far from the irs stating 60 more days.I am still waiting.
