After you've purchased a downloadable product through TurboTax.com, you can download it whenever you like up to 3 years after purchase.

Sign in to My Downloads.
Click the blue Download arrow for the product you would like to download.
Save the download somewhere on your computer where you can find it – your desktop is a good place.
After the download has finished, install your software by double-clicking the downloaded file.

Your policy seems to be in serious conflict with your customer support. This is very specific that I'm able to download my paid for 2017 software. Nothing shows up in my downloads after 7 years of constant TurboTax use. I was told by customer support that unless I pay for 2018 I'm not allowed to download 2017. This is seriously, seriously, seriously poor business pathetic really

According to their support staff. Unless you purchase the 2018 version of TurboTax and pay for it, you will not be able to get a copy of your 2017 software. Very, very poor business decisions. After many years of satisfied service, I'll be finding another way to do my taxes thank you

I agree. I have the same problem. I can't download 2017 even though I purchased it and used it. This is the information Intuit gave us to get a prior version we've paid for, but when I take said steps, nothing appears in my account. They should give our money back!!!

@cosmoscarey44 Until December 4 or thereabouts, the system will still be in transition from 2018 to 2019. Until that process is complete, you will have to wait to be able to purchase PLUS in order to access old returns.

Or are you asking how to download 2017 software you just purchased so that you can prepare a 2017 return using desktop software? When you add on to old threads full of other people's questions it becomes difficult to tell what you are really asking.

Here is how to retrieve your 2018 tax return:

Sign in to TurboTax.com.
select tax home and scroll to the bottom to tax return/documents.
select the 2018 tax year.
click download/pdf tax return.

I can not find my original cd. I need to download turbotax 2017 to my Mac I don't have windows anymore and it only gives me the windows version to download under Mydownloads. can anyone help?
