Click the shopping cart in the top right. In the Price Preview pane, click Manage My Discounts, then Add Code.

It's not easy to find, but here's how I found it:

Open TurboTax and log in
Click File on the left-hand vertical menu pane

Click the Start button to the right of Step 1 - Review your order

Click Manage my discounts in the Your product overview table

You'll see a Price Preview pane appear on the right side of your browser window - if needed, click Manage my discounts there again

Now you'll be able to apply your coupon code and see the results

Thanks. The original instructions for entering a promo code indicate to select "file" in the left pane after signing in. I'm signed in. I do not have "file" in the left pane. Any suggestions? John

Another user indicated to look for a shopping cart in the upper right, then select it to enter a promo code. I do not have a shopping cart either.

A service code is a special code that applies a discount to the TurboTax Online fee. These codes are provided by our specialists for specific, predetermined reasons, and aren't considered coupons.

Where did you get the promo code?

I got the promo code online somewhere. I forgot exactly where. It might have been a TurboTax site. Okay, well if it doesn't apply to this situation, where can I apply a promo code or verify that some other discount( such as TutboTax's 15% off Premier ) will in fact take place BEFORE I start the return? I'm trying to avoid surprises at the end. Thank you. John

There is no place to enter a promo code. Turbo Tax has discounted rates until March 1st. After that, all products are regular price. The only other discounts offered are through the affiliate program.

Okay, Thank you. In previous years, I always got 15% off Premier version discount ( not through affiliate ) all the way through April 15th. Has that changed this year? In any event, I was trying to do better this year by looking for a promo/coupon code. John

How did you get a discount in prior years? That doesn't sound like something Turbo Tax does or has. There are always early prices that expire on March 1 (years ago it was later). Did you buy the Desktop CD/Download program before?

Hello. I don't remember exactly how I got the discount in years past, but it involved clicking a link that would take me directly to TurboTax. I checked my receipt from last year and it appears I had a $10 discount last year on online Premier DIY on 4/17. If I could cut/paste properly and exclude personal information from the receipt, I would include it in this post. Regardless, I'll let you know if I find anything for this year. Thank you. John

Must have been a link on another website. Probably from an affiliate like your work or bank or credit union or investment company.
