Hi,

You have a couple of options:

You can choose 'skip import' in the page requesting the import code. This will allow you to move to the next step where TurboTax will help you enter all the data from your W2.

Or:

If you have access to http://w2express.com/, you can try and access your W-2 from that site. Your import code should be in the lower right box of the name and address field of the W-2 you access through W2Express. Unfortunately, some employers do not print the import code on their W-2s mailed to employees.

Your import code is, generally, found in the bottom right...

To add a W-2:

Click on Federal.
Click on Wages & Income.
Under Your Income, click Edit/Add to the right of W-2.
Click Add another W-2.

If you are not able to import your W-2 automatically:

You can manually enter your W-2, or
Using the TurboTax mobile app, you may be able to take a photo of your W-2.

How to Import Your W2

Start TurboTax
You’ll come to Federal Taxes, where W-2 is the first income topic.
You’ll see the screen, “Let’s Work on Your W-2.” Select Work on my W-2 now.
You’ll be asked to enter the Employer Identification Number (EIN) from your W-2 (in Box b). You’ll find this number on the paper version of your W-2.

The confirmation screen let’s you know TurboTax can import your W-2. Select continue to import. You do have the option to enter all of your W-2 information manually, just check the box on this screen.

If your employer provides online access to your W2, you can go there. If not, you'll need to contact your employer for another paper copy.
