  &lt;P&gt;Your return would have to be really simple in order to stay within the free edition. Income or deductions can cause the system to upgrade you. Transferring information from last year's return can be a factor too. There is a Freedom Edition that can be used under certain filing circumstances. If you've had an AGI of 33,000 or less, qualify for the EITC or if you are active military with an AGI of 66,000 and have a military w2.&amp;nbsp; If you want to know the difference between the Freedom Edition and the Free Edition here's a link. &lt;A href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/4217412" target="_blank"&gt;https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/4217412&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
