I recently moved from CO to MO. My CO w-2 contains info in box1 for wages, but my MO w-2 does not have any wages entered in box1. The box is blank.
First, confirm the Federal Employer Identification Number...

First, confirm the Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) is the same on both W-2's. I am assuming it is.

You will enter the W-2's "as if" all of this was reported on one W-2. Employers will do this when there is not enough room on a single W-2 to enter information for multiple state taxes in boxes 15-17. So enter it in the program as a single W-2. When you get to boxes 15-17, after you enter the data for the first state reported on the first W-2, a new row will appear so you can enter the data from boxes 15-17 for the 2nd state, from the other W-2.

Something I just remembered and want to give you fair warning on, in case it applies to you.
If you will be filing two state tax returns:
1 - Complete the non-resident state return FIRST
2 - Do not e-file *any* return, until you have completed *all* returns and are happy with the results presented to you.
Many times states have reciprocal tax agreements, and the program can not take this into account *if* you file any one return, including the federal return, before you have completed all returns.
