How can I transfer my 2016 Turbo tax files to another lap top?

I am trying to get ready for 2017 but the laptop I used for 2016 has developed problems I have switched to a new lap top. I have copied the Turbo Tax file from my but when I try to run it my new laptop I get a message " Forms missing, reinstall Turbo Tax. Can you please give me help on how to transferring 2016 Turbo Tax and my returns from the old laptop to the new lap top.

You cannot open the 2016 tax file with the 2017 program...

You cannot open the 2016 tax file with the 2017 program ... if you want or need to open the 2016 return you need to install the 2016 program.
