Where do I find electronic forms on turbotax.com? I want to fill in a form manually rather than having the software do it.

TurboTax Online (TurboTax.com) does not allow you to make entries directly on the forms. Anyway, TurboTax Online for 2016 will shut down permanently tomorrow night (Wednesday, Oct. 25).

If you use the CD or download TurboTax software, you can switch to forms mode and make entries directly on the forms. However, depending on the specific form, some or all of the entries may have to flow from other forms, schedules, or worksheets. You can't just enter anything you want anywhere on a form.

TurboTax does not have forms or schedules that you can complete manually and then e-file the tax return. TurboTax is tax preparation software to assist the user in completing their federal and state tax returns. The tax returns completed using TurboTax can either be e-filed or printed and mailed.

For a state tax return go to your state department of revenue/taxation website for forms, schedules and instructions

Filling in the forms directly in the forms mode rather than using the interview also voids the accuracy guarantee even is the absence of overrides. Only the interview will link associated form information. You are on your own to know the tax laws and file the proper forms when doing it manually.

Thanks. This is an amended return and I've had to fix TurboTax's errors in the past with white-out. For example, double reporting MLP gains/losses. Software has its bugs.
