No, you will need to pay back the difference from the original refund. The IRS will process your tax return as originally e-filed and you will receive the full amount on your filed return. After you receive the original tax return refund, you will need to complete an amended tax return, instructions can be found below. The amendment cannot be e-filed, so it needs to be printed signed and mailed. You will include the amount on 1040X when you send in the amendment.

Important note, if you adjusted your return after filing, change it back to its original form before you start the amendment. The amendment will only reflect the changes (removing your daughter as a dependent). Make sure to remit the difference owed with the 1040X prior to the tax deadline.
