      <description>&lt;P&gt;If she is not a full time student, you cannot claim her as dependent because she is 19 or older and earned more than $4,050.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If she was a full time student, you can claim her as a dependent if you provided more than half of her support in 2017.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If she is claimed as a dependent, she does not get her own exemption of $4,050 on her tax return and will get less refund than if she files as a non-dependent.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
