Turbo tax didn't file my 8962 last year. now I can't get health coverage.

I had 1095-A for 1 month and 1095-B for 11 months. Now my health care says I'm not eligible for tax credits. Can turbo tax help? I've been told form 8962 should have been filed.

Ok ... the 8962 is populated when YOU enter the 1095-A in the program ... so now you will need to amend your return to include this form ... I am surprised the IRS didn't send you a notice on this situation already ...

Go to this website to download the 2016 amend software - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/cd-download/amend/ty16/

You will need to download the tax data file from the 2016 online account.

When you sign onto to your online account using the exact same user ID you used to create, complete and file the 2016 tax return you will land on the Welcome Home screen. Click on My TurboTax at the top left of the program screen. This will take you to the 2016 Timeline. Under the section Some things you can do: Click on Download .tax file

Or if you land on the Welcome Back screen click on the blue link Download your .tax file

An amended tax return has to be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed.

If your system is not up to the task then you will need to find another way to amend the return ... seek a local tax pro or find someone with a computer that you can borrow.
