On one computer and one TT CD how do I prepare and file my federal and state returns and then prepare and file my mother's federal and state (different state) returns?

Go to FILE - NEW to start a new return. But be sure to first save your return with a name you can tell apart from your mother's return. So you might go up to FILE - SAVE AS to give your return a unique name. And SAVE frequently!

Then when you do her return you will have to buy a different state. Just go to the State tab.

Oh yes. You can prepare unlimited returns in the Desktop...

Oh yes. You can prepare unlimited returns in the Desktop CD program. You can efile 5 federal for free. The rest you can print and mail.

Then each state return is 19.99 (goes up to 24.99 in March) to efile or you can print and mail the state for free.
