I just installed Turbotax 2016, but when I select 2016 to open and enter my data, 2015 opens. Have I done something wrong?

I've closed down and tried again. When I open 2016 my 2015 return opens. I don't want to modify 2015, I want to input 2016 data.

When using TurboTax Software any prior year software by TurboTax needs to be removed from the computer or it can cause issues when installing, running, or working within the new software. I am including an FAQ on how to uninstall the old version of TurboTax software for Windows. If you are using a Macbook or any Apple computer to uninstall the software you would just locate the old software in your Applications folder and drag it to your Trash can. I would also empty the trash can if using an Apple computer. And also restart your computer after the old software is removed.
