Hello,

I came across this (https://community.intuit.com/articles/1456578-intuit-online-payroll-for-household-employers-service-...) article, which essentially says that I cannot use Intuit payroll to setup payments for household employees. But I do see some posts asking questions about Intuit payroll for household employees in 2017. So, I'm just confused as to whether this service is really not available anymore. Anyone tried this recently? The reason I'm asking this is because I'd like to go with Intuit since they already have my info. Other option is to give out all my info to another company, which I'm reluctant to do at this point.

Assuming Intuit payroll is out of the picture, what are other economical options to setup payroll for a nanny? That article suggests homepay from care.com, but the fees are really too much.

Thanks in advance!

Well you can contact another payroll company like ADP or Paychex so shop around ... or you can do your own payroll so maybe a local bookkeeper or CPA could educate you.

Thanks for the CPA suggestion. I'll try that out. In the meantime, I came across few economical options. SurePayroll seems cheap but has awful customer reviews. Usually my thinking is, "but that's not going to happen to me" and try them out, but with Uncle Sam in the picture, I'm a little hesitant to go with someone with a bad reputation/customer service.

Payroll for one household employee is relatively simple so get educated then do it yourself. That is probably why Intuit dropped the service ... not enough call for it.
