      <description>&lt;P&gt;Your resident state would tax all worldwide income. &amp;nbsp;If you physically performed work in other states, then you may be required to file state returns in those other states as a nonresident.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;First complete any and all nonresident state returns, the complete your resident state. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;
  &lt;B&gt;Resident State&lt;/B&gt;
  &lt;SPAN&gt;: &amp;nbsp;All income worldwide is required to be
reported on your resident state return. &amp;nbsp;Any money that is also taxed in a
nonresident state allows you to use "&lt;B&gt;credit for taxes paid to another
state&lt;/B&gt;" when you complete your resident state return. &amp;nbsp;Your resident
state does not want you to pay tax twice on the same income.&lt;/SPAN&gt;
&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;See an example of this credit on the image attached. &amp;nbsp;Each state may look a little different.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For more information on any state you can select that state below.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;
