My only income is from self employment. Assuming I made a the correct estimated quarterly payments and avoid all penalties, will I receive a refund for the tax year?

If your income (after all expenses) was the same as last year, then you will probably not owe or get a refund.

The idea behind estimated taxes is that at the end of the year, you don't owe this huge bill to the IRS.

NOW, if you made less money or had more deductions, it is very likely that you will receive a refund of those monies paid in.
