When I try to transmit my return it gives me an error. It says the the address has to be imported from my federal return and not typed in, so when I take it out, it says it wont submit without the address. What do I do?

Try going back to your federal return and click on the Personal Info tab. Then click on edit on "Where do you receive your mail" block. Check your entries there, and perhaps try making a slight change if it looks fine to you (like Street to St or Ave to Avenue). Then perhaps go to federal review and ensure things look good. Then go to the State taxes tab and click on edit when you see your state listed. Go through all those tabs. Do the review of the state return. Then start "let's file your taxes" and select the fed and the state one. Hope this helps. If not, click on "forms" and look at the address block on your federal 1040 and then the address on your primary state return. They should match letter and symbol and spelling. And try going through it all again. If you keep getting the same error, you can start a new federal return (TT gives you 4 federal for free) and start over. You shouldn't have to pay for the state return again. Good luck.
