I know I owe federal and state. Do I have to pay to get an extension? If I have to pay, how much? I can have the full amount owed on the 21st of April , but not on the 15th.

This year the Tax Due deadline is April 18th.

Additionally, you may set up a payment plan with the IRS to make payments on you Taxes Due.

Extensions are Free, but the IRS requires payment on the Due Date.
