Assuming that you received a 1099MISC for your contractor job, you will need either TurboTax Self Employed or TurboTax Deluxe. The decision depends on whether or not you have expenses to claim against that income (i.e. vehicle expense, phones, uniforms, home office, etc).

If you have NO expenses to claim (or such a small amount that it wouldn't be worth spending the extra money on Self Employed in order to claim them), then you can use TurboTax Deluxe to file your return. You will be able to enter both a 1099MISC with no expenses and your wife's W2 with the Deluxe program.

If you have expenses to enter for the contractor income, then you will need to use TurboTax Self Employed version. It will allow you to enter the expenses for your income and your wife's W2.
