      <description>&lt;P&gt;You are correct - you should file your taxes as if you haven't had a child, since your boyfriend is claiming your son. As to who should claim your son... if both of you qualify to claim him, you can choose who will. Generally, a person with higher income will benefit the most.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
