None of the TurboTax online editions include a state program. The state program is an additional cost using the online editons. See this TurboTax website for the online editions - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/

Apparently the state program is included, but e-file is not!

So when you buy the CD at Costco (or Target etc.) you can prepare your state return but have to pay a fee for e-filing it. Printing and mailing is free.

@123champ You added to a post that is more than 3 years old AND is about the ONLINE program not the downloaded/CD version you bought. Read the box your program came in ... the program is sold with and without a state program included (for those users who don't have to file a state return) and only the federal return is free to efile (limit of 5) but there has always been an efile fee for each state you choose to efile.
