If I filed for a federal extension in N.C. but the website doesn’t give me a link to file for a state extension. Do I still need to do that separately? If yes, how?

Go to the NC state section, go thru the NC interview at least once...when thru everything once, you will get a menu of NC items...one called "Other Situations" go in there and the will be a selection for "File an Extension"...

That prepares the D-410 for NC...but you will still need to print and mail it to NC...the address is shown in the interview...write it down. (though that address is also shown in tiny print at the bottom of the D-410 itself)
