If your Fed & State efile is rejected for code FW2-502, you have the wrong Name or EIN for your employer. Open turbo tax & go to check e-file. Fix & refile. Right?

The Turbo Tax instructions on how to fix do not indicate you need to go into Check E-File status and make the changes there. It is very confusing without that piece of info.

I was able to successfully re-submit. I was really trying to get the answer posted, since i couldn't find anything in my searches. I posted the response in the form of a question so others might find what I found and do it on their own. I appreciate your response. Thanks.

You can go directly to the W-2 screen to make your corrections:

Sign in to your account and select the Fix my return button.
Search for W-2 and then select the Jump to link in the search results.
Select Edit/Review next to the W-2 in question.
Compare the information in boxes b and c on the W-2 screen with your W-2 form. The employer name and EIN must match exactly.
Make any corrections, and then select Continue.
Select File in the left menu (on mobile devices, select the menu icon in the upper-left corner, then select File).
At the Welcome back screen, select Continue. (Don't select Fix my return, you've already done that).
Follow the instructions to file your return.
