An e-file confirmation number would be provided to you if you used a paid tax professional to e-file your tax return. The TurboTax software is not a paid tax professional. It is only tax preparation software to assist you in completing your Self-Prepared tax return.

If you need confirmation that your 2019 state tax return was e-filed and accepted by the State, then you will need to download your tax return to include all forms, schedules and worksheets.

The Postmark Report will have the date/time that the tax return return was transmitted and the date it was accepted by the State, if accepted.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.

This will take you back to the 2019 online tax return.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Then click on Print Center. Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return. Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets

I've been on the phone for over an hour trying to get this confirmation number. Why has is been so difficult? Why can't there be an easier way to do this? Do you just want me to have you deduct an extra $40 from my returns on top of the $20 state filling fee??

I filled out my taxes on the software, and the only thing missing is my state eFile confirmation. When I click on the link to pay the $20, it goes blank and doesn't load. When I call to try to talk to a Sales Rep, it sends me to someone out of the country, who tries to do a screen share with me on my personal computer, and requests my turbotax licence number?? No thanks, that has nothing to do with paying for my State eFile fee!!! For goodness sakes. This has already take 2 hours of my time today and counting.

I apologize, call volume is high during this time. You must speak with an agent if the above process were not helpful. You can also try troubleshooting for desktop.

@Virge, please call Product Support and give them your serial number and then they can give you the confirmation number you need. To find your serial number, go into the program to the payment section, select pay by credit card--then you should see a screen pop up. Look on that screen for the serial number. Please let us know if this helps.
