Federal ID Number on a 1099-R does not match the IRS records. See here under ‘payer’s TIN’.

I put the wrong number (adjusted gross income ) from the 2018 tax on the 2019 form. I fixed it . how do I get it to the right people.

If you fixed your AGI number you can resubmit your return.

Select File from the left menu and go to step 3 to e-file your return.

The email you received from TurboTax shows the rejection code and an explanation of why the tax return was rejected.

When the return is rejected that means some things on the return don't match the IRS database. Look for an email from turbotax@intuit.com, it will give you a brief explanation of your reject and how to update it.

If you didn't receive an email, sign in to TurboTax, select Fix my return, and you'll see your reject code and explanation.
