2017 !040-ES data not imported into 2018

I downloaded TurboTax Premier 2018 and imported information from TurboTax Premier 2017. I expected to see that the 1040-ES data from 2017 imported into 2018. All that was imported was the 2017 refund that I had applied to my first quarterly payment in 2018.

Shouldn't the 1040-ES data from 2017 be imported into TurboTax 2018?

If not, how do you manually enter the 1040-ES data into TurboTax 2018?

Yes you have to enter those manually. You can type estimates paid in the search box at the top of your return and click Find and it will give you a link to Jump To it.

OR
To enter Federal or State Estimated Taxes Paid, including a state estimated payment made in January for the prior year, go to
Federal on left or at top
Deductions and Credits at top
Then scroll way down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
Estimated Taxes - click the Start or Update button

You have to manually enter the payments that were made. The software cant assume they were made, just because the vouchers were included in last years program....not everyone makes all the payments.

Agreed ... the estimated payments were suggested last year not required or mandated ... so the program cannot assume you made them all or if you made them timely ... this is a user data entry requirement.
