    <description>&lt;P&gt;You can add the child to your tax return software and not claim them. This will keep you from having to enter the dependent each time its your turn. This will also keep the child on the return for Earned Income Credit and Dependent Care purposes (see the 4th screenshot below). To do this in Turbo Tax, follow these steps:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Enter the child in Turbo Tax as you normally would&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;On the "Do you have a custody agreement" choose the "Yes..." option and click Continue (see 1st screenshot below)&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;The next screen asks if the other parent is claiming the child, you'll pick the "Yes..." option and click Continue (see 2nd screenshot below) &lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;The next screen lets you know that your child does not qualify as your dependent. Click Continue (see 3rd screenshot below)&lt;/LI&gt;
