Yes, there is. You can get a ballpark figure of your 2016 refund using TurboTax Online.

Sign in and answer some questions about yourself and your income. We'll calculate your approximate federal and state refund amounts as you enter your information.

If you don't want to enter specific details, we can give you a ballpark estimate of your refund. Sign into TurboTax and start or continue your return. Select Federal Taxes from the navigation, and then select Deductions & Credits. We'll ask you two quick questions to estimate your 2016 refund.

If you prefer you can use TaxCaster to get an estimate of your refund. You can add or take away children.

Hello and thank you. I actually have signed in and am close to finishing my taxes on Turbo Tax. I have both my fed and state returns near complete and know what the refund amounts are. I would like to know from there how I can determine how much of each refund (fed and state) is a direct result of claiming my two kids (dependents - one is three and one is a new born).
