I left my former employment in 09/2015. I received a W-2 for 2016 with 12DD filled in for hte tune of $16k+. I did not work there in 2016. I did not earn wages. Although this did not change my return, this is suspicious to me. What should I do? If I claim it, is this admitting I received benefits from them? Do I have to submit it?

Box 12, code DD is the non-taxable value of employer-provided health insurance. The entry is FYI only; it has zero impact on your taxes.<BR /><BR />If there are other dollar entries on this W-2, you will need to file it. If code DD is the *ONLY* dollar entry on this W-2, *DO NOT* file it in TurboTax or you will be prevented from e-filing.
