      <description>&lt;P&gt;If you are referring to the wage amounts in box 1 and box 16 on the W-2, no, TurboTax should not catch it. In many states it's quite common for the federal and state amounts to be different for various reasons, such as differences in the pre-tax vs. post-tax treatment of certain payroll deductions. It can also happen if you worked part of the time in a different state. So different amounts for federal and state wages cannot be considered an error.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
